Randstad is seeking an enthusiastic Lab Technician for an immediate opportunity in Ankeny, Iowa. As the selected candidate you will work with a global leader in agriculture research. Work Hours for this position are 8am - 5pm - Monday -Friday. Relocation cost reimbursement is not available for this position, local candidates are preferred.

salary: $18 - $19 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety laboratory technical tasks including sample preparation and processing.

• Responsible for the care and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

• Assist in the operation of the equipment and the gathering of data.

• Assist with receipt and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field of study with 1 year of lab experience.

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a lab / research environment.

• Skills with Microsoft Office software.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• Laboratory/Sciences (1 year of experience is preferred)

• Lab Sample Preparation (1 year of experience is required)

• Microsoft Office (4 years of experience is required)
