DXC Technology Business Development Manager in Any City, New York
Implements and manages outsourcing opportunities and service proposals. Communicates with new and current clients to facilitate future sales.
Essential Job Functions
Manages and implements activities of business development staff; schedules projects and monitors progress to ensure appropriate level activities are conducted in a timely manner. Identifies and addresses issues as they arise.
Drives development of outsourcing opportunities; implements arrangements when significant potential for business opportunities are determined; ensures opportunities are financially beneficial to the company.
Establishes and manages business development programs to maximize development growth; manages and develops a client contact network to maximize business opportunities. Communicats with potential, new and current customers to ensure client retention and company goals are met.
Determines appropriate solutions for clients; determines scope of services to be provided including management information systems, claims, customer services, data warehousing and facilities management; ensures client needs are met. Provides client direction in terms of operational perspectives as needed.
Assists in developing proposal themes, sales and proposal strategies, statement of work, performance standards and pricing; identifies company resources and corresponding availability to ensure feasibility. Creates alternative solutions to resources if necessary.
Conducts market research including competitive analyses, opportunities, and sales strategies to be used in outsourcing development activities to ensure that company financial and business interests are safeguarded while creating solutions and strategies to meet client needs.
Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines.
Prepares and recommends operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, or related field preferred
Nine or more years of business development and sales experience
Five or more years of leadership or supervisory experience
Experience working with the business industry and various areas of business operations
Experience with contract interpretation, negotiations and project management
Experience working with company products and services
Experience working with financial management principles and other generally accepted accounting principles
Experience working with company sales methodology and supporting tools and applications
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Communication skills to interact with senior management, staff, vendors and clients
Strong human relations skills to select, develop, mentor, discipline and reward employees
Organization and time management skills to balance and prioritize work
