The Opportunity

The Developer Productivity "Test Services" team at Nutanix have multiple web applications and services developed in-house which helps Engineering Teams to release their code to customers efficiently.

We are looking for an MTS-3 Engineer who is proficient in web development using python with a very good understanding of OOPS concepts and containerization of applications ( Kubernetes/Docker Swarm). Any prior experience/knowledge of ML would be an added advantage.

DevProd team is a dev team that takes care of all tools and service developments which eases developer jobs to release the code to customers as fast as possible without compromising on code quality. Most of these tools are in house developed and help Eng to deploy, test , manage infrastructure ( hardware, licenses, IPAM, etc..) in hybrid cloud ( Onprem, AWS, Azure)

Team manages all aspects of the tools life cycle, starting from requirement gathering, designing, development, deploying to production and maintaining the same. Team is mainly based out of Bangalore and led by a leadership team in Bangalore.

Your Role

As a MTS3 engineer, you help us in designing, developing, maintaining and improving the existing applications, fixing the bugs under the guidance of senior members of the team .. You will also be responsible for managing the production infra of the tools and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhancement/bug fixes of existing test service tools ( UI/API/Backend ).Suggest new features/new technologies to enhance the existing features of the tool.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams, understanding the challenges of their component and help them in using the tools and easing their workflows.

• Participate in design discussions for new features and implement the same.

• Manage and enhance existing production infra ( which spans across different clouds ) tomake sure infra is available 24X7 and expected to be on call for any outages.

What You Will Bring

• 3+ years of experience in web application framework development in python

• Good understanding of containerization of applications and production deployments

• Basic understanding of UI development

• Strong Analytical skills and Problem solving skills with a keen eye for detail to detail are essential in executing complex projects.

• Proficient in writing quality production code that can run on minimum resources (CPU/Memory).

• Your ability to innovate, build and launch successful products should be demonstrated.

• Ownership of the product, own the technical issues and drive them till solution.

• Nice to have understanding of Machine learning and Deep Learning concepts and

• demonstrated ability to use them in solving complex problems.

• Nice to have working experience/prior knowledge on cloud infra like AWS and Azure

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, or related field.

• 3 years of experience in full stack development with python and containerization ofapplications for production deployments

The Dev Prod test services team has 17 highly skilled engineers, ranging from MTS-2 to Staff levels, who are extremely motivated. Every engineer is working on making the tools/test automation framework better and adding features to increase the Engineering productivity by reducing manual efforts, hardware consumption with efficient automated solutions.

Sumanth Joined Nutanix in May 2015 and since then, he transitioned from Individual contributor to technical lead and currently managing two teams under him. He has around 17 years of experience and handled/developed various test automation frameworks, test automation tools, lab and infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and worked on security products and Distributed system product lines. ( HCI, Firewall, SSLVPN )
