Shift 1 (United States of America) Position Summary: Milacron is looking for a Supplier Quality Professional to join our team in Batavia, OH. As a Supplier Quality Professional, you will be responsible for supporting, facilitating, and leading Supplier Quality actions for our Batavia plant. You will focus on supply chain performance with responsibility for supplier quality, assessing supplier capability, verifying the quality of purchased items at the source, providing timely and accurate supplier performance metrics, and facilitating continuous improvement and training of the supporting supply base. Work You'll Do: Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting Milacron requirements Establish cross functional relationships and partnerships through your product and process knowledge Implement and monitor the part qualification and certification process with elected suppliers Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances Function as liaison between procurement, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve supplier quality issues and to provide technical support Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply Support leadership and maintain a high level of performance in carrying out the goals of the department and corporation Troubleshoot electrical and electro-hydraulic components and identify confirm failure modes Review electronics manufacturing processes from suppliers and evaluate supplier corrective actions relative to those processes Team: The Supplier Quality Professional will be part of the Milacron Quality and Supplier Quality group, a global and progressive function, and will report directly to the Global Supplier Quality Manager. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical or supply chain related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of experience with manufacturing quality or supplier quality engineering in a manufacturing environment Functional working knowledge of Quality Engineering principles Willingness to travel up to 10% Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering field Understanding of Print Reading and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) Experience in Casting, Machining and Machined Components is preferred Understanding in the application of electronic and hydraulic components is desired Experience in facilitating change and working with cross functional teams including engineering and manufacturing Experience in a high mix low volume global business Familiarity in auditing of supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and compliance auditing experience #LI-AP1 #LI-ONSITE Who we are: Milacron is a global leader in the manufacture, distribution and service of highly engineered and customized systems within the $27 billion plastic technology and processing industry.
