Amazon Support Engineer I, IN Payments, Use Cases -Tech in Bengaluru, India

The India External Payments team is looking for passionate, experienced support engineer who can support variety of customer and merchant use cases for enabling "Amazon Pay" for third party merchants.

As an support engineer in External Payments you will help us manage, scale and solve for customer and merchant issues. The successful Support Engineer will be customer focused and motivated by team success. You will be innovative, energetic, and able to adapt to new processes and procedures quickly while dealing with a high volume of requests. You will also be committed, flexible, and have demonstrated the ability to maintain high levels of productivity with minimal supervision.

Key job responsibilities

Ensure proper documentation, notification, escalation, tracking, and follow up on the tickets.

Troubleshoot and resolve system software problems

Participate in ongoing maintenance of process improvements, ticket reconciliation and team cross-training.

Automated manual steps by writing scripts

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of software development, or 1+ years of technical support experience

  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems

  • Experience scripting in modern program languages

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. This includes the ability to explain technical terminology to non-technical end users

  • Must possess a keen attention to detail

  • Outstanding customer service mindset

  • Must be highly proactive, self-motivated and directed

  • Dedication to and strong aptitude for troubleshooting technical problems

  • Strong documentation and communication skills

  • Extensive software troubleshooting experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in supporting teams with operational support

  • Technical knowledge to read logs

  • Experience in Cloud Administration

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Experience with multiple cloud based services and systems
