Galaxy Electric Corp in Brooklyn, New York, seeks a Java Full Stack Developer to perform the following duties: Develop full-stack applications using Java, Spring Framework, Kotlin, ReactJS, and other related technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, and agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, to support our electrical products and services, collaborate with electrical engineering teams, understand customer requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions, write well-designed, testable, and efficient code that meets coding standards and best practices. Develop and maintain web-based user interfaces and back-end services for our electrical products and services, troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues, and ensure the application is scalable and secure. Collaborate with quality assurance engineers to ensure the software meets functional and non-functional requirements and is thoroughly tested. Support and maintain existing software applications and provide technical support to the electrical engineering team and end-users as needed.

Must have a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related area, plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered, as a Software Developer or a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or other related area, plus five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the position offered, as a Software Developer or a related occupation.
