Siemens Energy Technical Training Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina

How You’ll Make an Impact

Coordinate trainings with both internal and external instructors to make all campus employees maintain their certifications and skills needed to work safely and effectively. Run the campus skill system as well as the Siemens Energy Learning Platform (SELP). Lead campus crane training.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Handle training documentation.

  • Scheduling Crane Rigger training. Serve as the proctor for all rigger tests as well be the test sight coordinator and the test administration coordinator. Submit applications for employees written and practical testing. Submit intent to test for Rigger Written & Practical.

  • Perform class charge outs and create monthly metrics report.

  • Setup classes in the Siemens Learning Platform to so that classes can be scheduled, and skills tracked.

  • Siemens Energy Learning Platform (SELP) campus lead. Create, assign students, and close out classes. Train employees to find classes in SELP to allow them to grow their skills.

  • Management of the campus skill system (OIL). Create new skills, classes and close out classes and provide training to employees.

  • Complete purchase orders and good receipts, track training costs and revenue.

  • Coordinate syncing projectors with other groups outside of TRN are using multiple rooms.

  • Schedule training rooms, submit work orders to setup the rooms and order catering for training.

  • Send out weekly email for registered assigned classes from oil report.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in training, business or equivalent.

  • History of working well with others in a collaborative environment.

  • Effective presentation skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organization and time management skills

  • Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
