Medtronic Sales Representative II - Neurovascular - Chennai in Chennai Kilpaak, India

Main Purpose:

  • To achieve territory growth targets for specified product portfolio by initiating and developing key surgeons, non-clinical stakeholders, referral networks and conducting high impact market development activities.

  • To execute strategic sales activities undertaken as part of a Business Planning model.

  • Provide surgical coverage, follow-up support and troubleshooting for Neuro Vascular products, product and procedure training and education to new and existing centres and leverage customer contact at key accounts to grow the existing business/accounts.

  • To ensure that the Company’s agreed quality standards are maintained with regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact.

A Day in the Life

Revenue Responsibility

  • Responsible for achieving sales target in terms of product units and revenueand increase total company market share in assigned territory.

  • Support in creating and implementing an annual business plan with quarterly updates.

  • Ensure coverage of all accounts on the basis of customer segmentation within territory in agreement with the manager to maintain optimum level of exposure.

  • Maintain and expand existing business and develop new business opportunities.

Business Management

  • Seek new customers and formulate and follow up plans for such action as directed by the Sales Manager.

  • Work with existing key accounts to develop and implement strategies to move accounts towards higher market share.

  • Develop Sales strategies and execute same within the Sales Force Effectiveness model.

  • Conduct required training for new accounts on all products and work with help surgeons developing new surgical skills by conducting quality procedure development programs.

  • Sell specified therapies to physicians, institutions, payers and other medical staff.

Customer Management

  • Provide surgical case coverage, follow-up support and troubleshooting for all Neuro Vascular product portfolio in the assigned Territory.

  • Conduct customer in-services for new and existing accounts.

  • Develop relationships with physicians and hospital administration staff to ensure both clinical and non-clinical needs are identified and met.

  • Develop ethical, positive long-term customer relationships.

  • Satisfy customer complaints in accordance with Medtronic policy and to advise Sales Manager promptly of any situation beyond scope of authority.

Must Have- Minimum Requirements

B Sc (Any Sciences)/BE

• MBA would be preferred

• Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.

• At least 4- 6 years sales experience in a technical and dynamic environment.

• Experience in delivering health related in-service or similar type training and education

• Proven sales and negotiations experience

• Success in developing new markets

• Experience in making multiple sales calls on a daily basis

• Willing to travel extensively

Nice to haves:

• Good verbal communicator and presenter – Good command over English and Regional language

• Professional presentation and "Presence"

• Professional standard of written and verbal communication to sales team and customers

• Ability to quickly establish credibility with all levels of customer base

• People and Relationship building Skills including Networking Skills

• Logical approach & reasoning skills while analyzing competition & market trends.

• Strong Analytical ability during customer/patient call.

• Ability to deal with ambiguity & persevere to resolve situation at hand
