Our client is looking for a Human Resource Generalist to take over day to day responsibilities managing HR. The Human Resource Generalist will be working for a very interesting company that touches many lives. You will be handling full cycle recruiting of administrative staff as positions become available. You will create and design policies and procedures for this growing organization, report HR data analytics, develop attractive benefit plans to recruit talent, update HRIS system regarding employee onboarding or employee changes, coach and guide supervisors regarding training and development, administers workman's comp, and participate in leadership meetings. Your responsibilities

  • Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters

  • Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite

  • Manage employee relations, including coordinating sensitive conversations and engaging employee

  • Collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees

  • Engage with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors

  • Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on internal procedures, HR policies, and regulations

  • Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook

  • Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures

  • Accountable for completing various tasks and the daily operations of the HR department

  • Assess employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)

  • Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to business and operational projections

  • Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews

    Requirements - Excellent written and verbal business skills

  • Prior full cycle recruiting experience

  • Prior experience implementing and coordinating Open Enrollment is a plus

  • Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws

  • Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks

  • Proficient with social media platforms as well as office computer applications and software

  • B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis

  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)

    • We need someone who is highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
  • Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity
