The Opportunity

Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Senior QA Analyst to join our Digital Product Engineering team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Digital product and IT teams, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role

The QA Analyst’s role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization. This individual will also gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This will include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. The QA Analyst will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives.

Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

•Work closely with product, design, and development teams to communicate problem impacts and understand business requirements

•Adhere to quality assurance measures and testing standards for new development and enhancements

•Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine application quality

•Communicate cross-functionally across management levels test progress, test results, and quality of application changes

•Assist in environment setup and management in preparation for test execution

•Use creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness

•Use testing web technologies, services, and physical devices and an understanding of Java technologies, XML, JS, CSS, and HTML to automate and deliver robust test suites

•Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values

Qualifications:

Experience Required:

•3 years overall QA/development experience.

•Demonstrated experience in the Agile/Scrum development process.

•Demonstrated use of Java, XML, JS, CSS, and HTML

Experience Preferred:

•BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
