Description

Our client is a rapidly expanding company specializing in climate control solutions, with multiple divisions contributing to our success. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, they strive to provide top-tier services in their industry. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Divisional Controller to join their team. This role will be one of several controllers, each responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a specific division within the company.

Position Overview:

As the Divisional Controller, you will play a pivotal role in leading the financial management of your assigned division. Working closely with the divisional leadership team, you will be responsible for providing financial insights, analysis, and strategic guidance to support the division's goals and objectives. You will collaborate with the other controllers to ensure consistency in financial reporting, policies, and procedures across divisions, while also addressing the unique needs and challenges of your division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for your assigned division.

  • Partner with divisional leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the division's growth and profitability targets.

  • Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly/quarterly financial statements, variance analysis, and performance metrics.

  • Work closely with divisional department heads to develop annual budgets, track performance against targets, and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with the other controllers to establish and maintain standardized financial processes, controls, and best practices across divisions.

  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to divisional teams, serving as a trusted advisor on matters related to finance, accounting, and business strategy.

  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities within your division, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, and support internal and external audits as needed.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.

  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Previous inventory experience highly valued, especially in a manufacturing or distribution setting.

  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software is preferred.
