Position Summary: The Card Services Supervisor position oversees the daily operations of the Card Services department. This role is responsible for coordinating schedules, development of staff, and ensuring exceptional service is provided to cardholders. This role is also responsible for working with departmental leadership in implementing, overseeing,and achieving department goals and objectives Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the credit union's debit card portfolio; ensuring the credit union is compliant with applicable laws/regulations (i.e.: Reg. E). Coordinates daily schedules and department functions to ensure sufficient personnel/task coverage. Ensure required reports and assigned tasks are accurately completed in a timely manner Collaborates with the card services team to resolve complex member disputes. Develop and maintain documents and processes and procedures related to card services. This includes identifying areas of improvement in relation to operational efficiencies and cardholder satisfaction through periodic reviews. Audit tasks completed by card service representatives, including but not limited to; dispute processing, account maintenance, and central card issuance; to ensure the team is adhering to the credit union's policies, procedures, standards, and related program and legal requirements. Responsible for personal development through training, collaboration, and teamwork. Assists leadership in hiring, communicating objectives, coaching, and performance evaluations of direct reports. Assist leadership in reviewing and managing central issuance card inventory Ability to successfully complete all department duties in the event of staffing challenges, and for training purposes. Conducts staff meetings to review new regulations, service features, and updated or new processes and procedures. Assists leadership in the development of plans and goals for the Card Services Department Effectively work with external departments for support and training opportunities (i.e.: branch personnel, call center, training department). Effectively communicates with department leadership on area activities and concerns. Collaborate with leadership on card service vendor relationships including: VisaDPS, Visa, Fiserv, PAI, and FIS. Works directly with the credit union's risk area to review and revise rules that helps mitigate fraud losses. Receives and reviews communications from vendors, and researches vendor enhancements to ensure best practices are in place. Demonstrates professionalism in dress, tone, flexibility, and communication, aligning with the credit union's core values. Qualifications: Associated Degree in Accounting Preferred 1-3 years in Accounting and Finance Preferred Knowledge in Operational understanding of card services functions, debit card processing rules (Visa), fraud, chargebacks, regulations, and disclosures.
