DXC Technology Deal Enablement Lead in Dallas, Texas

Job Description:


Implements the overall procurement activity for the company. Plans and coordinates the procurement of significant or time sensitive materials, products/services and equipment necessary for the operation of the business unit or assigned projects. Assists in the establishment of guidelines and standards from which procurement activities occur.

Essential Job Functions

• Supports the most strategic deals in AMS region (typically 100-500M in potential revenue) run by the pursuit pods in the Strategic Sales Center (SSC) in Richardson, Texas

• Responsible for driving all third-party components of the pursuit, leveraging resources and expertise from the global supply chain category teams for technology, labor, etc.

• Identifies and recommends third-party suppliers who can fulfill the needs defined in the RFI, RFP, and the proposed solution

• Partners with the solution team to explore solution possibilities based on third-party supplier capabilities

• Collaborates with global and regional category teams to negotiate supplier pricing, driving costs down to achieve a “price to win”, in order to help increase DXC revenue and profit

• Ensuring sales governance reviews go smoothly by driving supplier compliance for offerings and global supply chain strategies or helping to establish new suppliers

• Executing NDAs and exclusive agreements with suppliers as needed to create a competitive advantage

• Planning for third-party transition and transformation, including contract novation, negotiating flow-downs, and identifying any flow-ups

• Executing third-party transition and managing turn-over to account team and supply chain operational teams

• Identifying and mitigating supplier risks, representing Supply Chain Management (SCM) in solution reviews, delivery reviews, and executive deal governance reviews

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Bachelor's degree in business administration, inventory management or related field preferred

· Nine or more years of experience in purchasing or inventory management

· Experience working with procurement practices

· Experience working with contracts including request for proposals (RFP) and request for information (RFI)

· Experience working with products and services within related market

· Experience working with procurement software (e.g. Ariba)

Other Qualifications

· Excellent communication skills (written, oral, presentation skills)

· Good analytical and problem solving skills

· Good personal computer and business solutions software skills

· Strong negotiating skills to interact with vendors

· Proven record for building strong relationships

· Leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel

· Ability to navigate political environment and direct activities across complex cross-functional teams

· Ability to understand financial analysis and implications with regard to contracts and suppliers

· Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks

Additional Experience

· Previous EDS/HP/HPE/DXC Supply Chain experience a big plus

· Sales pursuit knowledge/experience on large deals (50M or higher) would also be helpful
