Geisinger Experience Designer (Remote Capable) in Danville, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

Geisinger’s Steele Institute for Health Innovation serves as the innovation hub for Geisinger. The Institutes purpose is to support Geisinger innovators and lead the nation in building transformative, scalable, measurable and sustainable solutions that improve health, care delivery, patient experience and lower costs. The Steele Institute for Health Innovation oversees the enterprise digital strategy. The digital strategy defines a foundational pivot from internally-focused operational improvements to externally-focused experiences for our consumers, patients and members. The digital strategy goes above and beyond to understand our consumers, making healthcare easier and more affordable, so they can live their healthiest life. The Experience Designer is responsible for interacting with a business or product with a keen focus on the consumer with the expectation of a single, simple, unified experience that helps them achieve their goals. In this position you will be responsible for supporting multiple programs and cross-functional teams utilizing human-centered design principles.

Job Duties

  • Plan and conduct user research projects that include interviewing, data analysis and synthesis

  • Translate insights from research into project strategy and product/service offerings

  • Develop journey maps, service blueprints and personas based on user research

  • Advocate for customer needs through storytelling, including writing, visual, and verbal communication that helps other teams build empathy for current experiences

  • Plan and facilitate stakeholder workshops for solution ideation, organizational alignment and strategy development.

  • Communicate complex concepts and ideas into impactful insights, frameworks and narratives using storytelling and information design

  • Develop rough interactive prototypes for product development and testing.

  • Understanding of the competitive landscape, stakeholder ecosystem, market forces, and trends shaping the industry.

  • Use appropriate software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Mural or related tools to create high quality deliverables.

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and with minimum supervision.

  • Build working relationships with teams across the organization and work effectively with a wide range of professionals/disciplines.
