In this position...

  • Ford Credit is going through a major modernization phase where this position will be playing an integral role in such.

  • This role will be integral in adding and enhancing features surrounding the mobile applications.

  • This role will provide the opportunity for growth and will be able to service and scale this app to various regions.

What you'll do...

  • Work as part of the SAFe team to build state-of-the-art Mobile app features for both Android and IOS Ford Credit Customers.

  • Work in a cross-functional team and autonomously to achieve business outcomes.

  • Drive and influence architectural decisions for Ford Credit Mobile Platform.

  • Work closely with Digital Platform teams to ensure smooth end-to-end feature delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with all Ford security standards.

  • Innovate, create POC’s, and stay up to date with mobile app trends and industry best practices.

  • Write clean and efficient code for Android and IOS Mobile App’s

  • Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions.

  • Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance.

  • Integrate best-in-class security tools to improve code quality.

  • Deploy apps to beta and production.

  • Integrate with third-party libraries and API’s.

  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipeline following security standards.

  • Measure and monitor application performance using existing toolsets (Content Square, Dynatrce, Splunk, Adobe, and more) and propose changes to effectively support our mobile platform.

  • Support the entire application lifecycle (Concept, design, test, release, and support)

  • Advocate for engineering excellence, exceptional usability, and outstanding quality.

You'll have...

  • 5+ years of experience as a software Engineer with a minimum of 3 years with Native Mobile App development using Swift, Swift UI, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose.

  • Strong knowledge of GraphQL and GCP.

  • Strong knowledge of security tools.

  • Experience with system design, programming, and data structuring

  • Experience in cloud application development solutions, such as GCP, Kubernetes is highly preferred.

  • Experience with Apache Tomcat, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Docker, Gradle a plus.

  • Experience using code versioning tools for e.g., Git

  • Innovating, anticipating the future, and working toward continuous improvement in mobile technologies.

  • Dealing with ambiguity to develop solutions that work for partners from various subject areas to meet aggressive timeline.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

  • Good attitude and learnability. Must have learnt something new in past 6-8 months.

This position is a salary grade 8.

This position is a range of salary grades 7-8 .
