Responsibilities:
Polymer processing activities within the industry not restricted to Injection Moulding.
Develop an understanding with all polymer processing equipment including all associated ancillary including but not limited to, Material Handling, Tooling, Metrology.
Utilise polymer engineering principles, such as speeds, pressures, times, in order to effectively troubleshoot the process for product optimization.
Mould / part design concepts.
Mould maintenance
Press maintenance
Material handling systems
Ensure compliance to internal company procedures & cGMP
Implement the principles of project management
Delivery of projects
Safety awareness within the Moulding Dept.
IT skills, Project, Word, Excel, 3-D & 2-D CAD
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis using agreed methodology
Working in a team structure
Educational Requirements:
As per requirements of all Apprenticeships, applicants must have one of the following:
Leaving Cert or equivalent.
Grade 06 at ordinary level in 5 subjects 2 of which must be maths and a language (English or Irish).
QQI-FET level 5
Availability to spend 15 weeks in College to complete the “off the job” phase of the apprenticeship.
