If you have technical expertise in networking hardware and software, Robert Half is searching for a Network Engineer.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong working knowledge of Layer 3 networking with IP, as well as routing protocols such as static and BGP. They will demonstrate a systematic approach to troubleshooting across various networking platforms and Cloud Service Providers, such as Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Additionally, excellent written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to evolving roles, are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing innovative network solutions and prototyping them in a cloud environment.

• Documenting chosen designs and communicating them to appropriate stakeholders.

• Piloting new solutions on the production network and operationalizing them.

• Creating and updating documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and troubleshooting guides.

• Providing training for other members of the on-call rotation.

• Ensuring monitoring systems are updated as necessary.

• Participating actively in the on-call rotation, including rapid response to emergency network escalations and immediate mitigation of network impact and service restoration.

• Performing network administration tasks such as upgrading, patching, and maintaining the overall network infrastructure supporting private or hybrid cloud operations.

• Monitoring the utilization, performance, and availability of cloud network infrastructure and services.

• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and IT support teams to establish guides, procedures, training, and other documentation to sustain the cloud network and services.

• Supporting architecture, design, implementation, and compliance/auditing efforts related to security technologies deployed within the cloud network.

• Performing network integration work to support hybrid or multi-cloud models when required.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Strong working knowledge of Layer 3 networking with IP and routing protocols such as static and BGP.

• Experience with troubleshooting across various networking platforms and Cloud Service Providers (Azure & AWS).

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to evolving roles.

• Solid understanding of network architecture and the ability to articulate network and infrastructure requirements.

• Strong scripting skills (JSON, Python, PowerShell, and yaml preferred).

• Experience with network administration, monitoring, documentation, security, and integration within cloud environments.

• Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.
