Continental Senior Internal Auditor - Sales and Purchasing in Fort Mill, South Carolina

As part of our international Audit Team, you independently execute functional and operational internal audits of business areas and processes in risk areas: Sales and Purchasing of all Continental group sectors Automotive, Tires and ContiTech in the Americas region and abroad.

  • Focus of the audits is to mitigate business risks and to guarantee effectiveness of internal control systems and fulfillment of regulatory requirements.

  • Assume ultimate responsibility for the complete audit engagement for general operational audits as well as complex functional audits in the Americas region including risk assessment, audit organization, completeness, accuracy, and documentation of audit results according to the internal and IIA audit standards.

  • Ensure all major risks for at least one audit area are appropriately covered in the world-wide standard internal audit process. Develop and optimize analytical approaches and data analyses for those audit areas.

  • Take mentoring role, and coach and train new or guest auditors on audit process, interview techniques, sample review methods and documentation principles.

  • Lead Group Internal Audit strategic initiatives to ensure a state-of-the-art risk assurance of the internal audit department.

BASIC:

  • 5-7+ years of relevant professional experience in internal audit or operational business in risk areas of Sales or Purchasing

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing, or related

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (up to 50%)

  • Knowledge in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or Business Administration

  • Business-fluent English language skills (written and spoken)

  • A proven analytical skillset

  • Self-confidence and professional presentation skills, advanced team and communication skills

  • Intercultural sensitivity

  • Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We can only sponsor current Continental employees for employment visas and some external candidates: (citizens of Mexico, Canada, Germany, Australia, Chile, Singapore and Foreign Nationals that already hold an H-1B visa, TN visa or Dependent Visa that allows work authorization)

  • A relocation package is offered

PREFERRED:

  • 7-10+ years of relevant professional experience in internal audit or operational business in Sales or Purchasing

  • Tire/Automotive industry and/or manufacturing experience

  • Experience in SAP R/3 and MS Office applications

  • Worked abroad or experience in international business environment
