Skylos Sports Medicine, a BluePearl Veterinary Partner in Frederick, MD is now hiring a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant!

Schedule: This is a Full-time position. We are open 8am-6pm, Monday through Friday.

Pay: $20.50 - $38.50 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system .

* Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience*

The vision for Skylos Sports Medicine was developed in 2015 by husband-and-wife Drs. Peter and Faith Lotsikas and is the realization of their united dream of providing personalized orthopedic and rehabilitation therapy for the canine companion. Our mission is to restore and maintain the basic canine freedom to feel good and run for the fun of it. Our hospital provides a unique orthopedic and rehabilitation team focused on treating and preventing injury, aiding recovery, and enhancing performance. Helping dogs live well is what drives us.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assistingwith patient evaluation and examination

• Assisting Technicians throughout the surgical day

• Patient Restraint

• Equipment maintenance and sterilization

• Administration of medications and treatments

• Client education and communication

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience

• Team oriented yet self-motivated to problem solve and think ahead

• Reliable work attendance

• Motivated by educating peers and clients

• Driven byprovidingexcellent customer service and the best patient care possible

• Willingness to learn and grow
