Across our portfolio of live event venues and corporate offices, we are We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator at the Broward County Convention Center. The ideal candidate plays a vital role in ensuring that our inventory is accurate, well-organized, and data is readily available. This role involves meticulous record-keeping, monitoring stock movements, and taking an active role in the procurement process. Also, collaborates various departments to ensure the smooth flow of materials, products, and information throughout the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and disposals of all food and beverage items in stock.

  • Track stock levels, detailed item descriptions, and precise locations.

  • Generate reports, communicate inventory status, and price variance to management and relevant departments.

  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and provide insights to improve inventory control processes.

  • Conduct routine cycle counts, periodic full inventory audits, and stock reconciliations to identify discrepancies and variances. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain data accuracy.

  • Reconcile purchases and consumption on monthly basis identifying variances by GL accounts.

  • Work closely with purchasing team to streamline ordering processes.

  • Assists in placing purchase orders accurately, including products or services specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery terms.

  • Collaborates with Purchasing on the maintenance of the PO Tracker file and on the creation of other related files for Purchasing and Inventory activities.

    Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of two years of related work experience in inventory management procurement.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Negotiating skills, basic math skills, attention to detail, results orientated.

  • Effective time management skills, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of management.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • Adheres to organizational and department policy and procedures. Proficiency in inventory management software or ERP systems.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Spanish or Creole languages is highly valued.

    Computer Skills

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
