S&P Global Senior Associate - Project Manager in Gurgaon, India
About the Role:
Division Overview:
The Trade Processing division within OSTTRA provides end-to-end solutions for post-trade transaction management of credit, interest rate, equity and foreign exchange derivatives through the connection of dealers and investment management institutions to central clearing counterparties, trade repositories and electronic swap markets.
Team Overview:
The Custom Processing team, within the Client Services department, designs, coordinates and executes large industry events on the MarkitWire and OSTTRA Trade Manager (OTM) platforms on behalf of our clients. Examples include, but are not limited to, mergers and acquisition processing, corporate action events and trade netting exercises. We are seeking a self-driven individual with strong project management, problem solving and analytical skills to join the Custom Processing team as a Senior Associate.
Duties & Accountabilities:
Data gathering and defining scope of projects based on client requests
Formulating project plans to meet clients’ project deliverables while adhering to agreed timeline
Leading multiple projects in parallel from ideation to fruition including; defining project scope, assigning resources necessary, communication strategy, planning execution and documentation of activities
Participate and supervise the successful execution of each stage of the project requiring frequent and open communication with project team members and stakeholders
Develop effective measures to analyse the projects progress
Devise methods for effective ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of supporting client projects
Internal and external communication management related to the execution of projects
Meeting with team members for status updates and tackling new issues
Consistently updating client and project stakeholders on progress
Reviewing appropriate documentation to assess project risks, schedule and scope
Monitoring progress and dealing with project changes by re-allocating resources
Working with project management tools and software to execute, monitor and collaborate
Competencies & Teamwork:
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal colleagues and external clients
Ability to multitask and prioritise multiple projects in parallel
Calm demeanour in high pressure situations
Available to deliver short notice high value work sometimes during irregular hours
Comfortable working in a global multinational team
Self-motivated and take initiative to contribute to team goals
Demonstrate ownership over workload and partner with global team members to achieve objectives
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Project Management certification (Prince2, PMP or equivalent)
2+ years Financial Services experience
Understanding of OTC Derivatives industry and financial systems and their relationship to OSTTRA
Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft suite of products
Experience with project management tools e.g. JIRA, Monday.com
Advanced Excel knowledge a plus
Knowledge of VBA, SQL and Python a plus but not required
