DESCRIPTION OF WORK The primary role of this position is to oversee and manage the nutrition programs and activities in coordination with the center's operations. This includes handling all the necessary paperwork for membership and attendance at the center, as well as providing detailed information about the services offered by the agency and the wider community.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be responsible for maintaining and organizing the center's equipment. This involves ensuring that all equipment is set up appropriately for the center's functions and activities. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records, preparing statistical reports, and managing the inventory of the center's supplies.

Another crucial aspect of this position is ensuring the welfare and safety of the participants during any trips or outings organized by the center. You will be expected to assist participants in any unusual situations that may arise and provide them with the necessary support and guidance.

Overall, this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with both the center's staff and the participants. It is a vital position that plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the center's nutrition programs and activities, as well as the well-being of its participants.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Permanent part-time employment. Work hours are 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three months of experience in providing direct services in a human service, education or a community-based setting to the aging population or to individuals from various cultures and socio-economic backgrounds or to individuals who have physical, intellectual or emotional disabilities; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live in Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. If no eligible candidates who live within Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. apply for this position, candidates who reside in Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Monroe, Schuylkill, and Sullivan Counties will be considered. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
