Summary

Enterprise Network/Datacenter Service Management, modeling, operations, implementation of right solution, technical approach, processes and governance, DR Planning, provide cost effective solutions, Data Center Services up time to meet our requirement and meet the expectation of DXC internal customers/users. Responsible for Network services to be supported, measured, evaluated, critiqued and improved.

Planning, implementation, control, review, audit and improvement of Network/Data center services, properly operating, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks (WLANs) to meet DXC internal business stakeholder requirements.

Provides leadership and services strategy to manage OCIO owned outsourced contract to ATT/our key strategic outsourcing vendor for network services and other circuit providers in regions, design and capacity planning of DC for all regions, Data center preventive maintenance, Data center and network operations and environment performance metrics to ensure optimized network services.

Maintains a strong relationship with Enterprise Architecture and Business Relationship Management teams in OCIO to ensure their needs are being met by current and future OCIO and service provider owned tools and services. Works closely with decision makers in other areas to identify, recommend, develop, implement and provide cost-effective, world-class technology and support services for all aspects of DXC’s Program and Project Management tool needs. Creates a showcase services model, which serves to build DXC brand equity as well as helps client sales, marketing and delivery teams with client relationships.

Essential Job Functions

  • Should be strong technically to lead the Network/ Data Center services and projects, working closely with ATT and Deliver connects.

  • Plan and strategize solutions for Network/Datacenter

  • Plan and implement network and Datacenter across DXC sites. Develop the strategy for network and DCs

  • Understands Enterprise IP addresses, DNS, DHCP, understand the Network bandwidth and its solutions, carrier level knowledge, voice-based networks, LAN/WAN knowledge

  • Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.

  • Recommend solutions and architectures, based on the requirements.

  • Provide inputs in the design, implementation and roll out of virtual data centers/Networks/Voice networks

  • Creates and manages a comprehensive service strategy and governance to support DXC Deliver and ATT teams with selected tools to improve delivery and manage complex programs/projects more effectively.

  • Troubleshoots reliability, availability, and performance issues

  • Implementation of the necessary Material Cost Reviews to verify correct product costs

  • Provides full design, planning, configuration, documentation, deployment and top-level support ownership of voice/data infrastructure technologies

  • Identifies design requirements and makes recommendations for capacity planning, performance optimization and future direction

  • Collaborates on and implements architecture recommendations to application integrations, problem management, preventive maintenance, performance tuning

  • Identifies and eliminates performance bottlenecks and make performance related recommendations

  • Coordinates with Service providers and stakeholders to anticipate and manage changes to Network Services such as but not limited to, technical requirements, business requirements and schedule. Determines when additional resources are needed and implements same. Identifies or gathers information regarding possible solutions that may create additional, different or unique project objectives or results.

As a “Customer Zero”, develops and makes presentations to external clients that could lead to expanded business opportunities.

Basic Qualifications Description

  • 12-16 years of overall experience in Data center operation, Network and Voice network

  • Should have worked in an organization of a similar scale and complexity

  • Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, WWAN, and Datacenter design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

  • Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, monitoring, quick analysis of data to drive problem resolution, and general network management best practices.

  • Working technical and specific expert knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including SDN, IPv4, IPv6, BGP, OSPF, VOIP, switching fabrics (Cisco, IETF, Extreme, etc.), IP Multicast, QoS, TACACS, SNMP, Syslog, Radius, NTP, IP-SLA, NetFlow/IPfix. Experience desired also in VMware, virtualization, OpenFlow, cloud architecture

  • Vendor and Contract management at enterprise level, SLA understanding and metrics and reporting knowledge

  • Prior experience and expertise of Enterprise network and data centers, information security and network security would be an added advantage

  • Undergraduate degree
