OCIO Program Manager (Principal)


Provides integrated program management for multiple IT related integrations. Develops and drives program management plans and deliverables. Partners with Delivery PMs, OCIO Business Relationship Managers, the OCIO IT Portfolio Manager, business leads, and other stakeholders to ensure on scope, schedule, and budget performance of constituent integration projects. Contributes to the OCIO IT Methodology based on lessons learned and experience. Provides mentorship to junior program managers and IT team staff.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develops Program Management Plans for assigned projects/programs

  • Creates and delivers Program Management deliverables using the OCIO IT standard methodology and templates

  • Liaises with multiple organizations to provide status and drive issue resolution

  • Partners with Enterprise Architecture to ensure solution architectures are aligned with DXC’s architecture and standards. Counsels practice leaders and stakeholders on integration strategies and plans

  • Provides status updates to and collaborates with OCIO BRM’s, the IT Portfolio Manager, business leads and other stakeholders to identify issues and drive resolution.

  • Leverages past experience with IT projects to assist Delivery PMs with project planning and execution in alignment with the program integrated master schedule

  • Identifies and tracks IT related project and program interdependencies and develops plans to address conflicts and resource issues

  • Builds program level schedules and task plans. Establishes milestones in sync with overall Program timelines and OCIO in flight projects and programs

  • Ensures on cost performance and provides financial status for each program / project

  • Provides/presents program status to senior leadership as requested

  • Provides input to the refinement of the OCIO IT Methodology including supporting processes and templates

  • Establishes and coordinates logistics for key meetings including integration conceptual design workshops

  • Ensures communications are properly planned and executed in partnership with DXC functions, Delivery and business leaders

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 10 or more years of program management or related experience

  • Proven experience independently managing multiple IT programs/projects simultaneously

  • Knowledge of PMO process life cycles
