The worldwide chemical industry looks to Chemical Market Analytics to guide decisions and help manage risk across the entire value chain.

About the Role:

As the Vice President of Consulting, you will establish and implement CMA’s consulting vision, objectives, strategy for predictable & material revenue, and margin contribution. You will act as a liaison between CMA consulting, CMA chemical insights leadership, and Dow Jones Energy leadership to deliver consulting client delight with the efficient use of internal subject matter expertise. You will also interface proactively with global chemical and energy market participants at all levels (including C-suite), to enhance Chemical Market Analytics’ reputation for subject matter expertise and to solicit consulting projects. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Research & Analysis.

You Will:

• Develop, implement, and maintain consulting strategy to deliver consistent revenue growth year-over-year

• Partner with Vice President of Business Development to develop consulting opportunities and enhance CMA reputation

• Oversee consulting contract preparation, resource requirement assessment, and quote development

• Guide consulting project management and acts as project manager for certain projects

• Evaluate organizational options of hiring in-house consulting resources, acquiring consulting resources, or forming alliances with a consulting firm and recommend best strategic fit to CMA and OPIS management

• Manage consulting resources to effectively serve clients and support internal multi-client study preparations

• Guide consulting associates in complex project financial assessments including, but not limited to, IRR projections, cash flow projections, EV assessments, etc.

• Travel domestically and internationally for client meetings and consulting engagements

You Have:

• Twenty years’ experience in chemical and/or energy industry consulting

• Comprehensive understanding of regional energy cost paradigms and relative energy advantages and disadvantages with respect to chemical markets

• Experience managing multi-cultural consultant teams

• Project management experience - including multicultural projects

• Comprehensive understanding of normal terms & conditions of consulting agreements and the associated risks and risk management tools

• Successfully written and negotiated detailed consulting contracts that deliver fair consultancy profit and client satisfaction

• Understanding of regional business practices and cultural differences
