DXC Technology Associate Consultant Java Developer in Isabela, Puerto Rico
Job Description:
Summary
Provides general technical consulting services and plays a key support role in creating and delivering technical solutions for clients; work in conjunction with more experienced company technical staff to begin building knowledge and experience in the areas of technical software, application delivery tools, testing strategies and packaged applications; takes part in work groups, work sessions and interviews with business and technical representatives occasionally as an observer but more often as an active participant.
Essential Job Functions
Develops application software (new program code or enhancements to existing code) of medium to high complexity from detailed technical specifications (Technical).
Develops database queries and stored procedures of medium complexity to support data analysis and/or technical programming responsibilities (Technical).
Executes test scripts for system, integration and/or user acceptance testing and documents technical test results (Technical).
Contributes to the creation and content of appropriate Catalyst work products (primarily technically oriented) with guidance from subject matter experts (Methodology).
Maintains awareness of current business trends (in consulting services and offerings, packaged solutions, and industry best practices) that are relevant to the company and clients (Business).
Understands basic information about the structure of client assignments (e.g. project plan/scope, statement of work, pricing strategy) and how individual efforts contribute to timely and profitable delivery for the company (Management).
Demonstrates professional image and presence; gains confidence of clients, management team and peers (Relationship Management).
Is service-oriented and seeks out ways to expand role (Leverage).
Develops ideas and communicates status, issues, designs and plans to peers and immediate manager both orally and in writing (Communication).
Basic Qualifications
Associate Engineering Consultant position - Entry level position (0-3 years of experience)
Strong Java programing knowledge with 0 - 3 years of Java, .NET programing experience
Strong programing skills
Knowledge of database design with 0 – 3 years of MS SQL experience.
Speaks and write in English fluently, strong communication skills.
4 year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computer Programing Engineering.
Must be a US citizen or green card holder.
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills. Can understand technically what needs to be done and follow/understand technical specifications down to pseudo-code level. Able to code from technical specifications.
Strong experience in Design patterns like Model View Controller (MVC) and Model View and View Model (MVVM).

Experience on Cross Platform (Web & Client-Server) application development and design using Object Oriented Programming, Java /J2EE technologies a plus.
Prior MES working knowledge and manufacturing experience a plus
Experience programing Apriso global manufacturing operations management system by Dassault Systems a plus.
Work with a major aerospace defense client a plus
Strong skills including: Sencha EXTJS, Sencha CMD, Sencha SASS, J2EE Specification, J2EE Design Patterns, SOAP, Rest web service , Microservices, WSDL, JAX-RPC, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, XML, JSTL, Ajax, JSON, JQuery, DWR 2.0, HTML, Bootstrap, Angular, CSS, JavaScript, Swagger ,Quartz Scheduler, Spring, Spring Boot, AWS, SOA, Concept Wave(CW)/Ericsson Order Care(EOC) and Catalog Manager(ECM), Struts , JPA and JDBC framework.
