Job Description

Danfoss is looking for an experienced Planning professional to join the Supply Chain team in our Kyoto plant with specific focus on the One ERP program, where we currently are in the roll-in phase. In this role, you have the opportunity to be a part of the biggest digitization project in Danfoss history. Danfoss is standardizing all the business processes and tools and anchoring them to state-of-theart SAP S/4 Hana and other cloud solutions to be used as One Company One way. More than half of Danfoss sites have already succeeded in this transformation, and we are in the process of onboarding the rest.

Inside SIOP, Demand planning is balanced with Supply planning (Capacity and Inventory), and we invite you to strengthen our SIOP processes in Kyoto. All tools and processes are connected inside our tactical planning tool (Anaplan) which works in harmony with SAP and BI to provide a world-class user experience.

As a SIOP manager for Kyoto, you will provide inputs to Demand Planning for the unconstrained forecast. You will work with the plant to calculate a constrained forecast and provide internal/external plant constraint updates to the divisional SIOP Manager. These updates are presented in the monthly divisional Executive SIOP meetings in which you may participate.

As a SIOP manager you will be the Kyoto main point of contact in finding solutions for new releases, gaps and also drive continuous improvements. Upcoming releases will focus on onboarding the rest of businesses inside the standard tools and process. You will also focus on guiding the existing users to drive results and improvements on business KPI’s along with key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Collaborate with site cross-functional teams, including sales, production, procurement, and finance, to develop, implement, and maintain the SIOP process within the OneERP system.

  • Coordinate with the divisional SIOP Manager to drive the development and execution of a robust SIOP strategy that optimizes inventory levels, minimizes production lead times, and ensures on-time product delivery.

  • Collaborate closely with global SC to provide guidance and feedback to Demand Planning for Kyoto forecast models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.

  • Monitor and analyze Kyoto sales and inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in Anaplan.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to balance supply and demand, making recommendations for adjustments in Anaplan as necessary.

  • Collaborate with the IT and SAP implementation teams to configure and optimize the OneERP system for Kyoto SIOP requirements.

  • Co-facilitate training and support to team members to ensure the successful adoption and utilization of the SIOP process and the OneERP system.

  • Monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the SIOP process and provide reports to senior management

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.

  • Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience in SIOP management and implementation within a manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Knowledge of SAP system and the integration of SIOP processes is required.

  • Exceptional data analysis and forecasting skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

  • Ability to understand, propose and explain tactical implementation plan solutions to make improvements in business KPI’s

  • Have experience from bigger cross-functional improvement programs (e.g. Productivity, Delivery Service, Cash Flow….)

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to drive change and process improvement initiatives.

  • Fluent in Japanese and proficient in English (written and spoken).

  • Certified in supply chain management or related disciplines (e.g., APICS or IBF certification) is a plus.
