Department Description: This role will work within Northwell's CRM Center of Excellence(CoE). This CoE plays a critical part in Northwell's digital transformation and has a mandate to align all constituent relationships into a rationalized program built a cutting-edge technology.

Job Description

The Principal, Cloud is a leadership role focused on driving cloud adoption within Northwell LLP. This role is responsible for Northwell's enterprise-wide cloud strategy, governance, policies, architectural patterns and standards. The position will collaborate with Risk and Legal to keep policies and vendor contracts up-to-date as well as IT operations and Security to ensure cloud services are resilient, stabile, reliable and appropriately safeguarded. Additionally, act as an advisor to Northwell business units on existing and emerging cloud trends and challenges.

Job Responsibility

Works with Northwell business units and IT to collaboratively develop and adjust Northwell's cloud strategy.

Interfaces with multiple functions across the enterprise to develop and drive Northwell's overall cloud strategy.

Serves as a top advisor and one of the organization's senior level cloud experts.

Responsible for all, in collaboration with consumers, architecture blueprints for new or modified cloud services.

Responsible for enterprise-wide cloud services service level agreements and objectives between a cloud service provider and consumer.

Responsible for enterprise-wide cloud governance procedures, as part of IT governance process to ensure cloud services are cost effective, provide value in a safe and reliable manner and comply with regulatory and legal requirements.

Acts as the organization's most senior level expert and go-to resource for cloud services and advises various consumers on available and emerging cloud services.

Collaborates with Risk and Legal on cloud provider contracts and associated policies.

Collaborates with Finance on pricing models and chargeback for cloud services.

Works with providers, vendors and consumers to understand emerging and changing cloud services to create a pipeline of potential cloud services.

Contributes to 'Authority-to-Operate' process for onboarding new cloud services.

Manages and publishes enterprise-wide cloud service catalogue items and tagging taxonomy that can be access via self-service and automatically provisioned by consumers.

Works with Northwell business and IT stakeholders to drive Northwell's cloud strategy by communicating the raise awareness of cloud strategy vision and guiding principles and their evolution as the business changes.

Job Qualification

Masters Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience.

15+ years of Data Center or Application hosting experience, required.

10+ years of IT Cloud strategy experience, required.

10+ years of Enterprise or Solutions Architecture experience, required.

5+ year managing Azure cloud services at enterprise level, required.

Multi-cloud experience preferred.

Business Relationship Management experience preferred.

IT operations experience, preferred.

Service delivery experience, preferred.

Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicting priorities and to influence senior leadership required.

Certifications, as required.

Ability to articulate technology services in terms of business needs and opportunities, required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience with the Salesforce platform

  • Experience in healthcare preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud preferred

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

The salary range for this position is $140,100-$245,200/year
