Pulaski County Special School District Mobile Device Repair Technician in Little Rock, Arkansas

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s Degree in Applied Science or equivalent job experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, MAC, Chrome and iOS Operating Systems

  • Basic Microsoft Windows Active Directory user management

  • Acer Repair Certification

  • HP Repair Certification

  • Google Certified Educator Level 1 and 2

  • Three (3) years’ experience with Chromebook setup and hardware repair

  • Must have excellent customer service skills

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology Operations

JOB GOAL: To provide computer and mobile device repair services. Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot , and repair mobile device hardware and software in support of the district’s 1:1 initiative. Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer system hardware and software.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Test, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware failures.

  2. Replace or repair faulty electronic components.

  3. Setup and configure new devices and computers for end users.

  4. Provide on-site and in-shop repairs.

  5. Troubleshoot and repair software issues, including operating systems and third-party software.

  6. Order and maintain warranty parts inventory for all mobile devices.

  7. Responsible for tracking and reporting all mobile device repairs in provided tracking software.

  8. Provide own reliable transportation for service calls. (Standard mileage reimbursement for personal car usage will apply according to PCSSD’s Business Procedure Manual.)

  9. Provide preventative maintenance for computers and mobile devices.

  10. Maintain certification/qualification requirements for Self-Maintainer Programs.

  11. Responsible for returning parts to manufacturer as outlined in self-maintainer programs.

  12. Track all repairs ensuring repair reimbursements are being applied as outlined in self-maintainer program.

  13. Provide technical training to other staff members to keep them current on self-maintainer requirements.

  14. Must be able to bend, lift, squat, and carry 50 lbs.

  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :

Salary Range: Range 16 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($19.00/hr. - $33.52/hr. depending relevant experience)

Length of Contract: 244 contract days

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Personnel Status: Classified

EVALUATION :

Performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
