Description

As the Front Desk Coordinator, you will serve as the welcoming face of our organization, providing compassionate assistance and support to residents, visitors, and staff. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our front desk operations run smoothly and efficiently, while also contributing to the overall mission of providing quality housing and supportive services to our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist residents, visitors, and guests in a courteous and empathetic manner, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, taking messages and providing information as needed.

  • Manage resident inquiries and requests, addressing concerns and directing them to the appropriate staff members or resources.

  • Maintain the front desk area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety protocols.

  • Coordinate resident activities and events, including scheduling and logistical support.

  • Assist with resident intake and orientation processes, providing information on housing policies, procedures, and available resources.

  • Process and distribute incoming mail and packages for residents and staff.

  • Collaborate with property management and maintenance staff to address facility-related issues and ensure timely resolution.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to front desk activities, resident communications, and visitor logs.

  • Support other administrative tasks and projects as assigned by management.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in social services or nonprofit administration is a plus.

  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a nonprofit or social services setting.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Empathy and sensitivity to the needs of low-income and marginalized populations, with a commitment to serving others with dignity and respect.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed for special events or resident support.
