Diamond Grove Center is searching for a skilled and experienced Therapist to join our team at MYPAC.

Diamond Grove Center Hospital is a premiere behavioral hospital that has been providing compassionate care to children and adolescents since 1997. Diamond Grove Center is located in the beautiful city of Louisville, Mississippi. Diamond Grove Center is a 55 bed, psychiatric behavioral health hospital that offers inpatient acute care as well as residential treatment for adolescents and intensive outpatient programs.

    Therapists provide essential components of the overall treatment program through various interventions and modalities.

    INTERVIEWS patients and families and current Treatment Manager to obtain social histories.

    PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Assures completion of psychosocial on each admission within 72 hours of admission (excluding weekends and holidays) Assures contact with family members within 72 hours of admission as evidence by chart notation. Assures contact with referral source within 72 hours of admission as evidence by chart notation. CONDUCTS individual and group therapy/education sessions.

    PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: Conducts and records behavioral assessments of each patient as outlined by the treatment plan evidenced by progress note Conduct group therapy as outlined by the treatment plan as evidenced by progress notes. CONDUCTS family therapy as outlined by the treatment plan.

    PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

  • Conducts parent education programs as assigned.

  • Conducts family therapy sessions and coordinates family involvement as evidence by progress notes.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationship with patient’s family.

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with referral sources/or community resources to enhance smooth transition back into the community.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One (1) year experience (internship may be included) in a psychiatric or clinical setting. Have a Masters degree in a Behavioral Science field or the behavioral sciences from an accredited school.

SPECIAL SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must be eligible to qualify for CPI and CPR certification

  2. Demonstrates leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  3. Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification; current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Overall physical workload is light. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others. Must be mobile throughout the facility and system entities to attend meetings and make rounds. No chemical exposure. Position requires flexible hours. Frequent sitting for long periods of time. Occasional operation of standard office equipment and computer. Frequent answering/using of telephone.

Occasional conflict resolution; constant attention to multiple details. Frequent problem solving and decision making. Occasional exposure to stressful situations.
