HIRING LOCATION: Lumberton, NJ 08048Rangeline Tapping Services in Lumberton, NJ is seeking highly motivated Field Technicians to provide effective maintenance and operation for the water and wastewater utilities.Field Technicians must be able to travel out of town and have a clean driving record.We are proud to offer a great comprehensive benefits package, a fun, casual team-oriented environment, and training from experienced construction crew leaders.Essential FunctionsField work involving the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground water mains and tapping water mainsIndependent travel to multiple worksites utilizing service trucks or equipmentPerforms line stops, wet taps, and valve insertions utilizing different pipe types and products.Breakdown and setup of line stops, tapping, and valve inserting equipment.Performing and assisting in shop duties as necessaryWork within confined spaces (trench boxes, excavations, tunnels, and mechanical rooms)Prepare and/or complete work orders and safety sheetsMaintain accurate and up-to-date recordsRequired Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of and the ability to use basic hand tools, materials, and equipment commonly used in the performance of job function.Knowledge of using pumps, compressors, and other appropriate equipmentAbility to follow oral and written instructions and be able to write legible and descriptive reports on duties performed.Ability to work on emergency repairs and services unsupervised or in teams of various sizes.Qualifications and Education RequirementsAbility to work outdoors in various and/or extreme weather conditionsMust have a valid driver’s license clear of multiple and/or major violations.High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of OSHA 30 within 90 days of hire.Completion of OSHA 10 within first week of hire.Completion of Confined Space Training within one week of hire.2 years of relevant construction experience (preferred)
