JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Details Job Location Remote - 53719, WI Position Type Full Time Salary Range \$63,000.00 - \$80,000.00 Salary/year Job Shift Any Job Category Other Description Slipstream is seeking a passionate individual with a building energy policy or technical background that wants to apply their knowledge and experience to build a stronger foundation for building energy codes in the Midwest. This Building Codes and Policy Analyst position is part of our Policy Team where we inform public policy development with Slipstream\'s technical knowledge and analysis. The Building Codes and Policy Analyst will work closely with team members to support development, advancement, and compliance of advanced building policies in Midwest states. This individual will play a key role in collaboration with external policymaking bodies and will apply policy research skills to provide needed support for the advancement and compliance of building energy codes. The role requires excellent communication skills to distill and convey complicated topics to a variety of audiences. Qualifications What you\'ll do: Manage and facilitate quarterly stakeholder engagement meetings Provide policy expertise related to local, state, and national building code trends and objectives Directly engage stakeholders and the public, with the goal of providing transparency in the code development process Complete policy analysis that addresses impacts on construction starts, workforce, specific economic sectors, housing costs, and more to inform code development processes Help conduct primary and secondary research on residential and commercial building advanced building policies, including impacts, funding sources, and utility attribution models Monitor local, state, and federal regulation and legislation and development of building code policy across the Midwest Identify funding opportunities and aid in proposal development to secure funding for Slipstream\'s advanced building research and policy interventions Work with principal investigators, technical leads,...
