The ASM has overall accountability for systems project delivery. The ASM is a key stakeholder during the solution and proposal phases and assumes full responsibility for project delivery upon formal client acceptance, including funding arrangements.

The ASM reports into the Deputy and the Account Executive and is a key member of the Account Leadership Team.

The focus of this role is to retain existing business and contribute to new business opportunities based upon credibility established through consistent, successful project delivery. The role ensures that cost and delivery activities including governance, project financials, scope, and resourcing are aligned with DXC requirements. The role is also responsible for project profitability and demand forecasting

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Leadership and guidance of the Systems Team Managers and their teams.

  • Day to day decision making across a multi-disciplined systems team.

  • Acts as the single Project Delivery interface to DXC Account Leadership and the Client

  • Acts as the Account’s focal point for all project delivery on the account

  • Responsible for day to day delivery of the project portfolio on the account (scope, time, cost, quality, risk)

  • Manages resourcing (people and services) to deliver the project portfolio

  • Ensures accurate demand forecasting

  • Builds and maintains relationships with key account and client stakeholders.

  • Ensures feedback from Stakeholders is requested on significant projects

  • Ensures client sign-offs occur on project deliverables to support billing process

Education and Experience Required:

  • At least Five years of recent experience as a Project Manager and/or an account leadership role such as delivery or business management or leader of substantive projects involving governmental data processing projects, Medicaid claims processing systems, or other medical claims processing systems

  • Experience directing and successfully managing information technology projects with aggressive timelines

  • Previous experience with an MMIS, or with major components of an operational MMIS, including knowledge of CMS Federal Certification

  • Ability to integrate independent factors to drive outcomes, as opposed to purely fixing a project in trouble. Comprehends and integrates multiple data points during decision making and problem solving, such as politics (internal and external with the customer), corporate direction (e.g. Digital Transformation), financials, current plans and future needs, people and more.

  • Ability to implement a successful communication plan. Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining clear mechanisms to communicate project status and change with the project team and project stakeholders

  • 4 year degree preferred in business administration, information technology, management information systems or a related field from an accredited college or university
