We are looking for a talented Electrician Apprentice, specializing in Manufacturing Electrical work, to join our Manufacturing Engineering Team in Maxton, GA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

  • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Written and Verbal Communication Skills.

  • Must be able to perform computer functions as required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in Forklift operations is an advantage.

  • Self-motivated to take actions that meet the goals of the department.

  • Accurate knowledge of part numbers, storage locations, and quantities

  • Computer/Cullinet experience with Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping transactions is an advantage.

  • Understand the importance of inventory accuracy and on-time delivery of parts.

  • Excellent attendance, time management, and housekeeping skills

  • Flexible to work multiple shifts as needed.

  • Ability to work well with others in a team-based environment.

  • Must be physically able to lift, pick/pull, and package parts.

  • Cross-train for all logistics area positions up to Level IV

  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and urgency in accomplishing tasks.

  • Previous experience in material handling and supply chain logistics is an advantage.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to learn and understand materials transactions and their impact on the plant operation.

  • Ability to give and receive feedback.

  • Possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license.

Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Regularly talk, hear, speak, stand, sit, walk, reach, use fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

  • The Materials Technician must frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Use prudent judgment and safe driving methods in forklift operations, including proper loading/unloading operations wearing safety belts on forklifts, and all other required PPE.

Quality

  • Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke, and visual standards.

  • Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.

  • Performs quality inspections.

  • Identifies and controls non-conforming material.

Delivery

  • Operates manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet customer expectations.

  • Demonstrates a high level of competency in core work skills.

  • Achieves production goals.

  • Works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.

  • Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks, and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.

  • Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet production goals.

  • Works with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.

Teamwork

  • Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.

  • Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements.

  • Participates actively in improving quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
