DXC Technology Manager Sales Operations in McLean, Virginia
Manages activities between business development and operational staffs and prospective customers to support closing sales.
Essential Job Functions
Schedules business development support staff for prospective customer presentations, demonstrations and industry events; coordinates schedules with business development staff.
Assists business development staff in determining appropriate sales strategy based on the prospective client needs and in-depth knowledge of company solutions.
Manages company operations and business development staffs; work in conjunction with the operations and business development staffs to determine product pricing prior to communication with prospective customers.
Organizes and reports sales information to business development staff and management.
Validates pricing proposals, requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs) responses in detail for content and professionalism prior to distribution to prospective clients.
Ensures staff expenses are reasonable and within the standard guidelines for specific sales situations.
Works in conjunction with third parties to ensure company products and services are understood and represented in industry organizations.
Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines.
Prepares and recommends operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business administration or related field preferred
Nine or more years of professional experience at a level of full responsibility in technical or administrative areas
Five or more years of leadership or supervisory experience
Experience working with the sales cycle
Experience working with product trends for the business group represented
Experience working with company products and services, business industry and competitor products and services
Strong communication skills for presentation of sales presentations and product demonstrations
Strong organization and time management skills

Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with multiple disciplines within the assigned business unit
