BAE Systems is looking for a Principal Process Engineer to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment at their Merrimack, New Hampshire Advance Composite Manufacturing facility. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, and being able to adapt to a changing production factory environment brings with it an exciting opportunity to influence the successful execution of production goals and achieving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in composite materials and processing to support manufacturing lines within the Advanced Composite Manufacturing factory.

In this role, the Principal Process Engineer will be responsible for providing manufacturing support along with continuous improvement activities for various composite product lines. This position requires hands on problem solving, data driven analysis and application of sound engineering principles to improve production flow, product yields, and reduce cost. The Principal Process Engineer will utilize strategic thinking to implement new technology through material selection and capital equipment expenditures to maintain the ACM factory as the premier supplier of composite antennas for BAE Systems.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Related Engineering discipline.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in composite manufacturing performing related work

  • Proven success implementing change within composite production processes

  • Experience analyzing composite manufacturing processes and composite products for continuous improvement and quality improvement opportunities

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a demonstrated ability to collect meaningful data and make data driven decisions

  • Outstanding communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills to convey key insights from complex analysis and ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Formal Six Sigma training, with a green belt minimally preferred; black belt desired

  • Knowledge of J-STD-001, IPC-610, AS9145 Specifications and Standards a plus

  • Current Secret Government clearance or ability to obtain one

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
