Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Resident under the supervision of attending physicians, you will be responsible for patient care activities within the scope of your clinical privileges, aligned with your level of training. This includes attending clinical rounds and seminars, completing medical records in a timely manner, and fulfilling other duties as assigned or required by the medical staff. Additionally, you will adhere to accreditation requirements set forth by the relevant accrediting body (ACGME, AOA, or CPME) and all hospital requirements applicable to residents.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand your knowledge base, integrating clinical, social-behavioral, biomedical, and epidemiological sciences into patient care.

  • Provide compassionate and efficient patient care, focusing on health promotion and treatment.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning, engaging in research and evidence assimilation to enhance patient care initiatives.

  • Utilize effective interpersonal and communication skills to deliver clear care and information, collaborating with patients, families, health professionals, and colleagues.

  • Uphold the highest professional and ethical standards in medical practice.

  • Understand and apply the broader context and system of healthcare, utilizing resources to deliver the highest standard of care.

  • Engage in patient, family, student, resident, and health professional education.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of PGY 1 residency program or currently enrolled in PGY 1. GME office will verify.

  • Must hold required licenses/certifications to satisfy state & local hospital requirements (local HR & GME will verify).

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 60 months of employment start date.

  • Pharmacist with a Doctorate Degree or Bachelor's Degree.
