Job Description

nsight Global is actively seeking a Survey Crew Leader to join our clients team in New Castle, Delaware. The ideal Survey Crew Leader will be eager to work mostly in the fieldwork with some office responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be on a path towards licensure and have a strong background in any or all of these areas: residential, heavy construction, highway, and boundary surveying.

Responsibilities:

 Lead a two-person crew in hands-on surveying tasks.

 Operate advanced surveying equipment, including robotic total stations and GPS.

 Records Keeping: Maintain accurate records related to work performed, crew personnel, materials, and working conditions.

 Scheduling: Efficiently schedule work activities to meet project timelines and budget constraints.

 Coordination: Collaborate with team members to ensure successful completion of assigned tasks.

 Project Management: Safely manage survey tasks, coordinating with other construction professionals and departments.

 Equipment Operation: Proficiently operate survey equipment, including robotic instruments, total stations, GPS devices, and data collectors.

 Crew Mentorship: Mentor and train instrument and chain operators, passing on knowledge and safety practices.

Skills and Requirements

2 years of experience as a lead in surveying

 High school diploma or equivalent.

 Ability to collaborate effectively with technical professionals.

 Legible writing and effective communication skills.

 Valid drivers license with a safe driving record.

 Ability to obtain necessary background clearances for specific client sites.

 Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

 Valid drivers license and safe driving record. - Experience in civil and transportation-related surveying (preferred)

- Professional Surveyors License (Delaware or surrounding states)

- Proficiency with Carlson software and other surveying technologies. null
