Robert Half File Clerk in New Orleans, Louisiana

Description

Robert Half has an opportunity for a File Clerk with our client in the Non-Profit industry. This role is based in New Orleans, Louisiana and is a short-term contract position. As a File Clerk, you will be involved in document management, ensuring all files and folders are in line with our retention policy. You will also be working closely with our file room personnel, helping to maintain order and efficiency in our document storage.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the process of document purge, ensuring all unnecessary documents are properly discarded

• Creating and managing file and folder structures to ensure consistency and ease of access

• Collaborating with file room personnel to review and organize documents

• Making judgments on document retention based on the established requirements

• Assisting in purging and filing client files, procurement documents, and other specific sections

• Utilizing Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word to manage correspondence and document-related tasks

• Conducting data entry tasks to update and maintain accurate records

• Identifying and resolving any issues related to document purge

• Ensuring adherence to the company's document retention policy

• Utilizing skills in filing and purging to maintain an organized and efficient file system

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word is essential

• Experience in handling correspondence and managing communication is required

• Adept at data entry with a keen eye for accuracy

• Knowledge of purging processes and protocols

• Demonstrable experience in filing and managing a well-organized filing system

• Must have strong attention to detail and high level of organizational skills

• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Previous experience in a similar role within a non-profit organization is beneficial

• A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

• Understanding of and commitment to the mission of the non-profit organization

• Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
