Are you someone who has successfully navigated a case with the Oklahoma Human Services Child Welfare system? Do you have a passion for helping others overcome obstacles and create positive change in their lives? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Parent Partner.

Some Key Responsibilities:

Assist parents with the goal of reuniting families in the shortest, safest time possible.

Work closely with parents to engage cooperatively with the court process and OHS Individualized Services Plan.

Provide hope and encouragement through shared experiences, advocacy, and supportive guidance.

Empower parents to make progress through problem-solving and cooperative strategies.

Engage birth fathers in caregiving and relationship-building with their children.

Support regular contact and visitation with children, promoting parental involvement.

Participate as a member of the parents\' multidisciplinary team, advocating for their progress.

Collaborates with Child Welfare to ensure the safety and well-being of children.

Attend family team meetings, court hearings, and relevant gatherings on behalf of parents.

Promotes connection and teamwork between foster families and children\'s parents.

Provides transportation and assistance for parents to engage with community resources.

Facilitates communication and links parents with needed community resources and support.

Participates in public speaking and training to increase awareness and support for families impacted by the child welfare system.

Position Requirements:

Previous experience with Oklahoma Human Services Child Welfare or Family Centered Services cases.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Peer Recovery Support Specialist certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Proficiency in MS Word and general computer skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the state.

COVID-19 vaccinated and adherence to CDC guidelines.

CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Options certifications or will obtain within 30 days.

TB test within 12 months prior to employment or willingness to obtain.
