Oracle Director, Consulting Strategic Sales Initiatives in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

The Oracle North America Applications Consulting Strategic Sales Initiatives team is seeking an experienced Marketing Communications & Events Director to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for leading a small team (2) to create content and promote Oracle Consulting’s capabilities, offerings, and customer successes across internal and external audiences (Oracle, customers, and prospects) in concern with demand generation programs that result in increased sales pipeline and bookings for Consulting sales organization. Additionally, this role will lead key programs, including field and corporate events, customer testimonials and references, and quarterly Consulting newsletters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a cross function team to plan and coordinate Oracle Consulting’s presence at Oracle’s largest annual customer event, CloudWorld, including the executive customer reception, industry specific customer dinners/happy hours, customer education sessions, customer success services booth presence and demos, etc.

  • Partnering with executive team to develop our industry and user group event strategy, and then working with client facing teams to develop content for presentations at these in person events or other virtual webinars.

  • Partnering with aligned leadership to develop Consulting messaging strategies and related content for Services industry-specific newsletters and communications

  • Partnering with Sales and Delivery to convert our happy and successful customers after “go-live” into references who will speak positively about their experiences working with Oracle Consulting via a number of channels including phone references, webinars, events, press releases, social media, and blogs.

  • Overseeing writers or writing stories directly on Consulting capabilities, offerings, customer success, or thought leadership.

  • Oversees semi-annual customer satisfaction survey administration and analysis coordinated by team.

  • Oversees creation of new content for Consulting Sales slide libraries used by sales in internal promotion activities and sales pursuits.

  • Partnering with cross-functional teams, including customer marketing and public relations, to promote Consulting and customer stories internally and externally through various channels including newsletters, blogs, oracle.com, social media, and more.

This person’s work will be highly visible both externally to the market, as well as internally to our practice, and colleagues across Oracle. This role requires a creative thinker, the ability to work comfortably alone or collaboratively, exceptional writer, and excellent project manager. Seeking an individual who loves to solve problems and comes to the table with solutions!

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field.

  • 8-12 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing/communication strategies.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience developing and giving presentations to cross-functional teams, including executive leadership.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and building relationships with key stakeholders

  • Experience with digital marketing channels, including SEO, social media, and email marketing

  • Event planning and management experience.

  • Experience building and executing a thought leadership program that to source and create content for our blog and social channels.

  • video production and graphic design experience a plus.

US: Hiring Range: from $139,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
