Job Description
The Apps Dev Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Skills Required
Experience in Java/JEE Middleware application support using messaging APIs (ActiveMQ, IBM MQ), Multithreaded Applications, API Development, JBPM, SOAP and Rest Web services.
Experience Application performance analysis, debugging, Understanding of Linux and Oracle DB systems and monitoring tools.
Exposure to Oracle SQL, procedures etc.
Experience in WebSphere application server, application deployment, MQ and monitoring, etc.
Exposure on building Dev-OPS pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes ,Ant, Gradle and Maven, bitbucket, Team city, Udeploy tools .
Experience Agile methodology
Should be able to provide solution to team for technical issues.
Good knowledge of SWIFT protocols and interface implementation.
Experience Application performance analysis, debugging, Understanding of JVM heap management, performance monitoring tools.
Exposure to Oracle SQL, procedures etc.
Experience in WebSphere application server, application deployment, monitoring, etc.
Exposure to frameworks likes Struts, Spring, Spring Boot, Web Services, JUNIT, Mockito, Ant, Gradle and Maven, bitbucket, Team city
Exposure on building Dev-OPS pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience Agile methodology
Qualifications:
Minimum 4+ years of experience in messaging, middleware technologies such as IBM MQ preferably in ISO20022 payments domain.
Should be able to provide solution to team for technical issues.
Good knowledge of SWIFT protocols and interface implementation.
Knowledge of SWIFT Fileact, Interact, FIN/MT messages and ISO20022 formats.
Experience in working with large set-up and businesses globally will be an advantage
Partner with all downstream applications effectively so that any changes could be communicated to them on time and are well tested.
Be 100% hands on in technology.
Build strong relationships with partners, team members and all stakeholders.
Report status in concise way to all the stakeholders of global financial messaging team at predefined frequency.
Keep track of projects, programs, release’s (deliveries) and keep statuses aligned with stockholder’s requirement / deadlines.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering) or MCA/MCS
