A Brief Overview The Claims Quality Analyst helps the Corporate Legal Division in day-to-day administrative matters as well as the handling of Litigations, Administrative Complaints and Threatened Litigations filed against the Corporation in Puerto Rico.What You’ll Need to Succeed •Answers the daily phone calls of the Department, and transfers when appropriate.•Receives correspondence and canalizes to the appropriate area or recipient. •Organizes and prepares the Department’s files and logs.•Receives visitors and other staff keeping an appropriate service level.•Data entry of all Administrative and Legal Complaints received in the department’s database system (CaseTrack) and files.•Receives Complaints and collaborates with Unit Supervisor in its referral process.•Acts as liaison between the Legal Division and business units in the collection of documents and information needed for the response of Threatened Litigation Letters and Administrative Complaints. •Assist in the production of documents requested by Outside Counsels or insurance companies, during the discovery stage in the Litigation cases filed against the Corporation.•Data entry of necessary information, maintenance, and updates in Case Management/Matter Centralized Contract Management Database system (CaseTrack) regarding the Third-Party Contracts and Legal Claims/Litigation.•Assists Unit Supervisor with the request process of the Quarterly Status Reports of pending litigations filed against the Corporation.•Provide administrative and operational support to the Department in daily matters.•Helps or back-up registering or updating the DACO, OCIF, OCS Complaints logs filed against the Corporation for case management purposes.•Assist or back-up evaluating Complaints against the Corporation or any of its subsidiaries and affiliates for proper referral and handling.•Assist or back-up in drafting responses to DACO, OCIF, OCS Complaints against the Corporation.Competencies•Anticipates and provides service excellence to both internal and external customers.•Establishes, sustains, and fosters both internal and professional contacts to build, enhance, and connect to FirstBank services.•Delivers clear, effective communication and takes responsibility for understanding others.•Understands how the organization works, including current and future policies, practices, and trends.•Identifies problems and conducts appropriate analyses involving others to search for best solutions.What You’ll Need•Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies.•(6) six months or (1) one year of experience in paralegal activities in banking operational matters.
