Williams Parker is seeking an exceptional Marketing and Communications Coordinator whose stewardship will include showcasing the Firm’s attorneys, highlighting the complex and sophisticated work of its practice groups, and celebrating the Firm’s rich history within the community, dating back to our founding almost a century ago in 1925. This is a heavily administrative role that requires organizational efficiency, accuracy, and multi-tasking to perform well in both independent and collaborative settings. The nature of the work is both recurring and project-based; and the environment is fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-driven. A keen eye for detail coupled with the ability to recognize subtle firm culture cues are essential to maintain brand integrity across all communication channels. The role is anticipated to grow in complexity and variety with time and experience in this position.

Essential Functions

  • Administrative – Assist in the creation of written content for the purposes of bios, press releases, website updates, blogposts, internal newsletters, and other printed collateral. Participate in the onboarding of new attorneys, scheduling headshot photos, drafting press releases, updating the website, and coordinating other key touchpoints. Plan events by reserving venues, caterers, and vendors; communicate timelines and set-up; ensure a smooth execution through hands-on participation; and track ROI afterwards in the form of post-mortem upward reporting.

  • Marketing – Maintain and regularly audit all marketing channels - including the Firm’s website, social media platforms, and print materials - to ensure accuracy and relevancy. Manage the inventory of printed collateral materials and promotional items; ordering as needed. Manage the Firm’s logo bank, providing images for advertising that are congruent with the brand standard set for each intended purpose. Includes budgeting, project management, brand management, and vendor management.

  • Advertising, Sponsorships, and Business Development – Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and community relations for the purposes of networking event management, community engagement via sponsorships, advertising, and contact list management. Collaborate in setting the annual advertising budget by carefully reviewing requests, considering historical relationships, and identifying new areas of impact.

Requirements

  • Excellent professional writing skills, with the ability to use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation to draft bios, press releases, blog posts, and other content on demand.

  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas to varied audiences in a clear and compelling way.

  • Effective time-management skills, with the ability to work independently to consistently deliver quality work on time and error free.

  • Forward-thinker, who anticipates and effectively navigates around obstacles to solve problems.

  • Knowledge of traditional advertising and digital marketing tools, including social media platforms.

Technology

  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite (primarily Word, Outlook, and Excel), WordPress, social media, web analytics, and Google AdWords.

Education and/or Experience

  • Marketing experience

  • Professional services experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, English, or relevant field
