We are looking for a Mechanic Helper interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our Maintenance Department team at PIM’s Pierce facility in Somerset, NJ .

Job Summary:

The Mechanics Helper will assist mechanics in performing maintenance and preventive repairs on equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist mechanic perform maintenance and repairs on all packaging line systems and equipment.

• Assist mechanic with changeover adjustments

• Follow PIM Brands GMP rules

• Cleans the work area and returns tools to proper location.

• Maintains inventory of replacement parts and equipment.

• Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Assist with greasing, oil, clean, adjust and track all appropriate places.

• Ability to work additional hours and shifts as needed.

  Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions.

• Ability to use power and hand tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion.

• Basic math and computer skills

• Willing to be trained

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, properly complete documentation and equipment books

• Ability to read, speak and write English

  Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Related experience preferred.

  Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
