SUMMARY
The main responsibility of the Production Planning Supervisor is to schedule required manufactured items to meet the production schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule requests for customer orders
Must maintain and balance customer requirements andproduction capabilities
Review material requirements as prompted by MRP
Perform item maintenance. Enter information regarding manufacturing processes, lot sizes, locations, etc
Run Exception report to review orders and determine of orders can be moved
Review and update ECN’sand change order processed
Striveto meet customer needsbyreviewing and makingchangesto production orders in order to meet requirements of customer
Update lists of manufactured items daily to help meet customer requirement. This mayinvolve adding and/or deleting orders as well as reviewing shortages
Continuously strive to balance needs of eternal customer with production
Performs otherrelated duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Five plus years of practical work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Previous scheduling or planning experience in a manufacturing environment and APICS trainingdesired
Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of tasks as directed
Good understanding of total manufacturing systems
Kaizen, Lean and Value Stream Mapping experience and principles a plus
