Overview of Job Function:

The Vice President, Sales Operations is responsible for overseeing and enhancing our sales operations, processes, and systems to drive revenue growth and operational excellence in the Americas for non-CCaaS use cases. The role will provide leadership for the Sales Operations function and employees. Additionally, the role will collaborate with Sales senior management around their strategy and planning.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies and objectives aligned with overall company goals.

  • Drive the development and implementation of sales plans, including territory assignments, quotas, and sales performance metrics.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform sales strategy.

  • Sales Process Optimization:

  • Streamline and optimize sales processes and workflows to improve efficiency, productivity, and sales team effectiveness.

  • Identify gaps and bottlenecks in the sales cycle and develop strategies to address them.

  • Implement and manage sales enablement tools, technology systems, and CRM platforms to enhance sales processes.

  • Sales Analytics and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain sales analytics and reporting capabilities, providing actionable insights to sales leadership.

  • Track and analyze key sales metrics, such as pipeline conversion rates, win/loss ratios, sales velocity, and revenue forecasting.

  • Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate sales performance, trends, and areas for improvement.

  • Sales Training and Development:

  • Collaborate with the training department to design and deliver effective sales training programs and materials.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to sales managers and representatives to enhance their skills and performance.

  • Identify training needs, skill gaps, and development opportunities within the sales organization.

  • Sales Operations Management:

  • Manage the sales operations team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales operations function.

  • Develop and enforce sales policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and consistency.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and customer success, to align sales operations with overall business objectives.

  • Foster strong working relationships with sales leadership, ensuring alignment and effective communication.

  • Partner with IT and data teams to drive sales technology initiatives and data-driven decision-making.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 15+ years’ experience working in operations roles including sales and product leadership

  • Minimum of 10+ years progressive leadership experience

  • Experience working with partner led go to market models

  • Experience working with concepts, practices, and procedures in Sales Operations

  • Proven track record of building organizational capability and talent development

  • Excellent analytical and business intelligence skills

  • Strong executive presence and presentation skills

  • Strong communication skills needed to interface with multiple levels both within and external to the organization

  • Excellent business acumen with strong strategic management and planning skills

  • Ability to execute swiftly with purpose in a fast-changing environment

  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in Salesforce

  • Background in SaaS / Cloud

  • Software industry experience
