As a Network Administrator, you will work as part of a dynamic multidiscipline team responsible for design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of solutions that comprise M.C. Dean's enterprise IT infrastructure and support 6000+ users and hundreds of applications.

Responsibilities

  • End user support . Provide escalation-level end user support and resolve network connectivity, application / service access, software configuration and compatibility, system performance, and other complex issues that require diverse expertise and advanced problem-solving skills.

  • Application deployment and lifecycle maintenance . Support enterprise-wide deployment and lifecycle maintenance of COTS applications, including security evaluation in the sandbox environment, compatibility testing, installation / upgrade procedure development and automation, publishing and endpoint management software administration, configuration documentation, and related tasks.

  • Solution development . Collaborate with the team on researching, development, and testing of advanced solutions and system upgrades that improve performance and efficiency of enterprise application infrastructure.

  • Network and system administration . Performing network and system administration tasks, including capacity provisioning, user administration, instance provisioning, and patching in accordance with established processes and procedures.

  • Work management. Comply with established procedures to document, estimate, track, and update work using task management system.

Knowledge and Skills

  • MS Windows administration, configuration and software deployment, as well as core productivity technologies (MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint)

  • MS Intune endpoint management system configuration and administration

  • Fundamental TCP/IP networking concepts, including but not limited to overall protocol stack architecture, addressing, dynamic and static routing, access control lists, DHCP, DNS, and other common services

  • Enterprise identity and access management, user administration, and related technologies, including but not limited for MS Active Directory, multi-factor authentication

  • Scripting using MS PowerShell, Python, or comparable technologies

Experience

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience deploying and maintaining MS Windows-based computer systems and applications

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise networks

  • 1-3 years of progressive experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure cloud services strongly desired

Education

  • BS in IT-related field with 2-4 years of experience or equivalent work experience
