DXC Technology Senior Marketing Manager in Tysons, Virginia
Oversees the marketing activities and programs for operating group or other assigned area. Ensures organization's marketing strategies, plans and programs are cost-effective, consistent with organization's business strategies and objectives and promote a competitive marketplace position.
Essential Job Functions
Develops and executes marketing programs to ensure marketing activities support company business alignment strategies ensures adherence to stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability and market share.
Works with operating group management to identify strategic marketing needs. Develops and recommends overall marketing strategy to senior management. Implements plans and programs to promote a competitive marketplace position.
Manages the development, production and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support operating group level sales and marketing programs.
Manages strategic components of product marketing plans to ensure that operating group plans are consistent with company goals and objectives. Interfaces with business developers to plan and execute marketing campaigns.
Tracks and manages prospective client information generated from marketing campaigns to ensure that marketing strategies are effective in communicating products to clients. Manages company wide marketing communications and web marketing activities as necessary.
Manages company advertising and public relations activities to ensure establishment and maintenance of favorable company image with investors, potential customers, employees and public.
Reviews marketing surveys to determine market needs and to ensure existing opportunities for profit are maximized in product design and marketing.
Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines.
Prepares, recommends and oversees development of operating and personnel budgets. Monitors spending for adherence to budget plans, develops and recommends variances. Performs and/or oversees budget analysis.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Master's degree in business administration, sales, marketing or related field preferred
Twelve or more years of marketing experience
Eight or more years of leadership or supervisory experience
Experience working with marketing strategies and policies
Experience working with company products and services, business industry and competitor products and services
Experience working with budgets and plans
Strong presentation skills to define and translate value propositions to client/market understanding
Strong communication skills for presentation of marketing strategy plans and program recommendations to senior management
Strong organization and time management skills to balance and prioritize work
Strong creative problem solving and decision making skills
Strong human relations skills to select, develop, mentor, discipline and reward employees
Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with management and employees
Ability to lead and work in a team environment
Willingness to travel
